Our support methodology centers on the fact that a user’s time is very important. In order to effectively resolve problems fast, we need to be proactively maintaining a client’s desktop and servers. When a problem does occur, we can get right to the root of the problem rather than wondering about the last reboot or patch installment.
We are very conscious of the fact that users do not historically like to speak to IT people. They just want the problem resolved and technology to work. We consistently remind our techs of the importance of empathy and that support is very psychological, in that you need to listen to the tone of the user on the end of the phone and get the information you need.
